Great downtown location. Walking distance from anything you need. In-house restaurant and room service. Beautiful indoor pool with late hours. The room was clean and spacious, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We arrived early and waited in the well appointed lobby for our room to be ready. The music was varied and definitely added to our enjoyment of our stay.

Older hotel but clean and relatively quiet during my 2 night stay. 2 of 3 ice machines were kaput. On-site restaurant was convenient and decent. Valet parking free with validation. Not bad at all.

First of all to summarize -the good: 1. Very friendly and responsive staff including front desk and maintenance. Quickly responded to my HVAC issues and offered me a new room. 2. Convenient downtown location walkable to train station 3. Spacious swimming pool that is well heated 4. Excellent well renovated bathroom with very good products (Apoteke) To work on: 1. Very noisy equipment and difficult to control HVAC. It was unplugged when I first arrived, which likely was done by a previous guest, due to the clunking noises it made. 2. Very dated furniture showing excessive wear 3. Very dated room amenities including lights, TV, HVAC, carpet, wall coverings 4. Not the cleanest rooms but not horrible either. All in all a satisfactory hotel but very dated hotel. I walked from the train station, so I cannot comment on parking. They are saved by their front facing and maintenance staff who responded professionally to my needs. Most importantly, the bed was comfortable.

We WOULD have given a 1 star review for our stay due to an extremely rude front desk manager, but Ashley was so accommodating and kind. So this 5 star is for her. Whoever her manager was on 1/16/2026 at around 1:30 pm should trade places on the org chart with her. He was awful.

I had the fantastic opportunity to converse with Annasimon, and I must say, she is a tremendous asset to this property. The location is fantastic, surrounded by excellent restaurants and bars. However, I strongly believe that the housekeeping team needs to enhance their attention to detail. It's crucial that every room is properly vacuumed. While many hotels may skip pressing their sheets, they should still feel crisp and fresh, not as if they've been slept on. Additionally, the grout on the newly installed tiles must be maintained meticulously—free of mold, mildew, and hair. Attention to these details will elevate the overall guest experience significantly.

(-) - Outdated rooms, need refurbishment. Lower standard than holiday inn - entered hotel at noon, I friendly greeted the gentleman at the reception asking whether I can checkin. Unfriendly response: we don't have rooms, come back at 4. No greeting, no I am sorry we don't have any rooms available right now. Very rude welcome (+) + later during checkin, luckily the elder gentleman was no longer there and we were greeted by a friendly lady and gentleman, very accommodating + friendly breakfast staff and the cook prepared fresh pancakes and the probably best omelet I have ever had.

Well.. it was kind of a fuster cluck when we arrived. The Valet parking was backed up out into the street. The poor attendant was working alone and was completely overrun. We finally got the car dropped and went to check in. The desk staff was very professional and helpful. We had just driven 400 miles and weren't really wanting to go find something to eat so we chose the on-site offerings for dinner. I think it was called "23"... Once again... one bartender who was alone and VERY busy. When they were able to finally get to us it all went OK. They offer a limited menu. But my wife settled on chicken strips w/ fries... I chose a burger w/ fries. They asked how I wanted it cooked I requested "medium"... I got it very well done. Oh well... The beer I ordered was cool and tasty. (I'm sorry I don't remember the name) We finished and went to the room. The room was adequate... the temperature was cool which we like. But I tried to turn it off when we were turning in and it didn't shut off! It was like the fan or compressor kept running. The room was clean... the bed was fine. In the morning we had the breakfast offered. It was a buffet. They had a broad selection. The Biscuits and Gravy were kinda bland and the gravy was VERY thin. They had an made to order omelet station but we didn't utilize that. $20 a head was steep... but we figure you pay for convenience. Overall an ok experience! We are booked to stay there again in two weeks when I go back to pick up my wife from her trip to NYC.

I stayed here for a concert at the HMAC, as it is a 5min drive, or a 20min walk from the venue, so I figured let’s give it a try. I will say, overall, I had a great experience, but here is a detailed review in each category: FOOD/RESTAURANT: the in-house restaurant on the premise has great breakfast food! The coffee is delicious, and the OJ is thirst quenching. I would skip the sausage, and just go for the bacon, as I found the sausage patties to be flavorless, and greasy. The bacon was the right amount of crisp, and was decent size. The eggs are good, but the waffles and pancakes are delicious! ROOM: I stayed in room 922, and it was clean, neat, and had a beautiful view of the buildings, with a peek of the park/ricer across the way, and the beautiful church to the right. The bathroom was clean, and so was the bedding. VALET PARKING: shout out to Gerald, or Gerry, he was the best! Very personable, friendly, and helpful. He always had a smile on his face, and always took great care of my car. Definitely worth the $25 a night at the hotel, as you have to pay for parking on the street anyway. Parking is free after 7pm, but it starts again in the early morning hours. You will end up paying more for parking on the street, and won’t have security to look after your car. LOCATION: very close to the HMAC, 5min drive/20 min walk. I will say there is a homeless population issue, but they seem to all mind their business, and not out to harm anyone. The businesses do close around 8/8:30pm, where a few stay open until 9pm. It becomes a ghost town around those hours, which makes it feel a little creepy at night. With that, I’m happy I used valet parking, so I knew my car was safe. The hotel is located across from a hospital, and is around the corner from the police station, so it can be quite noisy, at all hours of the day/night, but it wasn’t that much of an issue during my stay. I am however adjusted to the noise, as I live by a fire department at home. Overall, I would stay here again, if there was another concert to attend at the HMAC.
